The oil, gas and coal industries are raking in record profits, even as our climate is continually growing warmer and more unstable. As tax payers, we want our energy dollars to go toward transitioning to a green economy.
Please take all subsidies currently taken out of our tax dollars that now go to fossil fuel industries and transfer them to clean energy solutions like solar, wind, geothermal; engines that run on recycled vegetable oil, compressed air and hydrogen cells created with clean energy sources; improvements in storage through development of better batteries, flywheel energy storage and similar technology; and developments in energy conservation, increase public transportation and smart-grid technology.
With climate change taking an ever-greater toll, and oil and gas becoming
