We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Transfer ownership of Spring Creek Park to NYC so that local government can administer it properly

Created by C.D. on August 09, 2016

Spring Creek Park Preserve is a wild parcel of land wedged between the ocean and the neighborhood of Howard Beach in Queens, New York where Karina Vetrano was murdered on August 2, 2016 when she was out jogging. It is a national park, but according to Internet news sites, national agencies have ignored locals’ requests for security cameras, better lighting, and better property maintenance. NYC has had an unprecedented reduction in violent crime. Our parks are safer than ever, at least when we have the ability to care for them. Please transfer this land to local municipal ownership.
