In 2012, Wyoming State Representative Kermit Brown proposed an amendment to House Bill 85 to state that "the state of Wyoming should... acquire... an aircraft carrier." With the United States Navy still in possession of multiple surplus conventionally-powered carriers, I propose that the Department of Defense transfer one of them to the state to fulfil this need.
