The May 2nd, 2011 raid on the compound in Pakistan is a historic event of some significance. Key to its success was the use of two uniquely modified stealth helicopters. One of the helicopters was destroyed in the operation, but the second survived. This helicopter should be transferred to the Smithsonian Institute's NASM.
The Smithsonian’s National Air & Space Museum is dedicated to preserving and displaying aircraft of historical and technological significance. With its two large facilities, it is also the most visited museum in the western hemisphere.
This petition’s goal is to have the historically and technologically significant surviving stealth helicopter used on the Osama bin Laden raid transferred to the Smithsonian where it can be preserved and displayed for future generations.
