Transgender people often face discrimation in the school and/or work enviornment, this is one of the reasons why 41% of trans people attempt suicide. Signing this petition means you could help save some of those transgender people who try and possibly even succeed in commiting suicide. Emplyoers and school staff will be required to call the transgender student(s)/worker(s) by their name and pronouns of choice, even if it hasn't been legally changed. If trans people can use the bathroom of their gender identity, there's no reason as to why they can't be called by the name and pronouns that match their identity.
