Recent studies have shown that 78% of transgender or nonconforming students have experienced harassment of some sort. They have been discriminated against and need protection against these transgressors. There are 1.4 million adults in the united states that identify themselves as transgender. These people need just as equal rights as the rest of us, which includes using the public restroom that matches their identity.
