We demand the the US government eliminate all metal based currency and coinage for the following:
1. It is massive inconvenience on the consumer
2. It costs more to make certain units of metal currency than their face value
On this we ask that all metal currency be transferred into paper money of the same value. Pennies into 1/100 bills, or 0.01 bills, Nickels into 5/100 bills, or 0.05 bills, and etc.
The people represented on these coinage shall of course be represented on the paper as well, with new figures for pennies, nickels, and quarters since those presented on these units are on paper units as well.
To restate, the goal of this petition is to eliminate metal coinage, transfer the units to paper currency, along with those represented on the coinage with changes when necessary.
