Transition to a Democratic Economy

Created by W.H. on April 24, 2014

A socioeconomic philosophy that proposes to shift decision-making power from corporate shareholders to a larger group of public stakeholders that includes workers, customers, suppliers, neighbors and the broader public. Wall Street can go away, profit from investment can go to the people based on savings. Corporations will be owned by the employees and transition to being localised and separated. The fossil fuel industry can be refocused on renewable energy. Manufacturing and other pollution producing activities can be transitioned to be much more in harmony with the environment. The US can become strong and self sufficient. Population can be controlled and life will gain value. Everything will improve. The environment does not die. All can be wealthy.
