I am not discounting hardships, and difficulties people are having during these rough economic times. But, I am simply proposing a possible solution to a current problem.
The problem: there are way too many people taking advantage of government programs [which are designed to help those in need] [such as those listed in the title]. While many aren't taking advantage of it, they are still a "drain" on an already overstrained economy.
Proposed solution: Rather than hand out the money, based on whether or not the recipients are 'looking' for a job, I propose we provide them with work opportunities. Trash collection [like on roads and sidewalks, etc], sorting [say for recycling], or even so little as utilizing their gained skillsets.
Rather than just taking, 'free money' becomes 'earned'.
