This petition recognizes that the US will likely not be able keep its current flag when we become a Russian vassal state in January 2017. Nevertheless, we desire to preserve some of the cherished history and memory of our flag. Rather than adopting the Russian flag wholesale, we are petitioning our government to adopt a new flag that is appropriately Russian, but which also preserves the historical memory of the American flag. We believe that our new design will be to the liking of Russia, and hope they will permit us to preserve the old flag as a visual element. Please adopt this new flag before it is too late and we lose our voice in the process.
