Transition the United States of America from the imperial measurement system and into the metric system.

Created by R.S. on December 28, 2012

What do Liberia, Myanmar (Burma) and the US have in common? They are the only 3 countries left in the WORLD that still rely solely on the imperial or English system of measurement. We like to be different from other countries but this is ridiculous. Metric is the language of science and international commerce. It's easily divisible! We teach it in high school but it is a waste of time & education money if it is not used in our regular lives. How can we compete in a global marketplace when we don't even speak the same language? Anyone who wants to succeed in college, or just understand the complexities of our world will need to understand the metric system, because most of the citizens of the world describe it with the metric system. I hereby petition my government to action. Who's with me?
