Transparency in VA Claims: Claimant should be able to work with a person through the claims process to save money/time

Created by K.D. on October 27, 2014

At the IRS, when an Agent is Auditing a Small Business, the Business Owner has the Agent's name & contact information. This speeds the process, & allows for better communication of information, & improved quality of Audits for both parties. The VA needs to implement a similar model for VA Disability Claims. The Claimant should be assigned an "Agent" with the VA, and be provided contact information to be able to reach their Agent to provide additional information, or ask questions on what may be missing from their file & be allowed to submit directly to their Agent. Right now Veterans feel their claims go into a "black hole" & come out a year or more later with unsatisfactory results. This leads to millions of dollars & man hours due to appeals, & resubmitted claims.
