Travel Ban against Leaders and Individuals Preaching Hate Against the LGBT Community in Africa

Created by C.K. on February 26, 2014

I am an American citizen who would like to add a voice to the plight of the LGBT Communiities in Africa. As an American citizen, whose ancestors lived through a life of discrimination and hate in this country; until powerful men and women like Abraham Lincoln and the likes of MLK stood up aginst such injustices, it is imperative that the POTUS and the US congress take a stance to stand by the LGBT communities in Africa; groups that are voiceless because of the draconian laws that are being passed against them denying them their right of liberty and life. They are facing persecution with sentences of up to life in prison, and in Uganda, they had advocated for the death sentence as a punishment for the gay men.
