A massive protest known as Umbrella revolution has been ongoing since the 28th September in downtown Hong Kong.
Number of protesters and polices were injured during clashes in Mong Kok, Causeway Bay and Admiralty.
On 18th October, Hong Kong police chief warned undermined order and jeopardized public safety.
Surprisingly, US government had no reaction according to this warning.
According to Hong Kong local news, frontline polices have been using violence to pedestrian and journalist especially after the removal of Mong Kok camp.
There is a concern that innocent traveler could be inadvertently targeted by police.
US government should either acknowledge those issues and announce a travel warning or alert to Hong Kong or be responsible for any potential harm to traveler.
