Placing drug users in jails is counterproductive to rehabilitation and separates them from their families, communities, and jobs. Humanely work for a solution by not treating drug users as criminals but instead as people with a health problem. Repeal the Controlled Substances Act and place the leads into the hands of healthcare professionals.
