Flint, MI, has been individually and severally POISONED. The scale of this event is almost unprecedented in American history. From the first tragic mistake, the harnessing of the Flint River to a municipal system without detailing a comprehensive environmental study, the handling of this tragedy has been criminal. In other words using as a feedstock a toxic resource. One estimation of the river's acid level would have precluded its use.
The damage has been multiplied through administrative neglect.
We call for federal government involvement on a scale equal to its participation in the New Orleans Katrina debacle.
Signing this petition is a heartfelt cry for relief to this ravaged, entire municipality.
