OK - high time we took this idea seriously. Guns are a PUBLIC HEALTH problem
Like smoking, driving without a seatbelt and carseats for kids.
So why are we treating this as anything but?
Look, the gun nuts aren't giving up their guns. Never. From their cold dead hands. Fine.
And every time one of these things happens, Americans shit their pants and run out to the nearest gun store to stock up.
We can't pass any laws against this, nor can we restrict it. At least not in the next few years. Fine.
This narrows us down to what we CAN do, and use what worked in the past.
A Public Health campaign.
Before you scoff, remember this is how we got smoking in the USA, which in the 1950s was around 50% of all Americans, to a measly 19% today.
