treat Human Trafficking in the United States as an act of terrorism.

Thousands of slaves are trafficked through the United States, many of them children, many of them intended for sexual slavery. They systematically use terror in keeping their despicable business - it is nothing short of terrorism. Human trafficking within the United States should receive just as much attention as illegal immigration (since many of the victims are foreign and brought into the country illegally), unions and workers' rights (since the victims are forced to work with no rights), and national defense (since the ability to smuggle human cargo is closely related to the smuggling of other materials). This is an issue that should be visible and vocal. President Obama should not end his first term as president with the issue of slavery unaddressed.
