treat student loans as any other consumer debts.

Created by J.B. on January 26, 2013

The debt forgiveness laws should be fair and equally applied to all. American's should not be punished for trying to become educated while "businessmen" walk away after consuming money from the same sources. Businesses, government entities, etc. can borrow money then declare bankruptcy to get a fresh start. Students borrowing to get an education cannot. A student loan is a life sentence, but a bank losing trillions of dollars is OK by U.S. law. Which do we need to encourage more, losses by financial manipulation forgiven or educated people to strengthen the U.S.? We need to at least level the playing field.
