Treat teachers like regular salaried employees and raise perfomance expectations for them.

Created by B.K. on November 14, 2012

Teachers work less than 40o hours a week, work only 186 days a year, and have full time benifits. if you consider what a teacher earns per day for their 186 day contract, they earn more than police, fire, accountants, and are actually in the higher percentile than most carreers. if you factor in benifits, they are well paid. It is time to hold them accountable, and measure their performance like every other employee in every other field.
Teachers have to be held accountable and bad teachers need to be let go while at the same time incentivising good teachers. The teachers union protects the poor teachers, and destroys the will of the good.
