1. When a public official is finished with office, stop their salary and let them return to civilian life. Soldiers in harm's way in foreign lands aren't paid near their invaluable worth...as such, a former politician absolutely SHOULD NOT draw a salary for a completed office term.
2. Cancel all political "expense" accounts. Let them pay travel expenses and submit for reimbursement from accountants. Accountability is vital. They will take care when reimbursement qualifications must be met.
3. Suspend all government provided healthcare plans to elected and appointed officials and provide them with the healthcare available to the citizens. This incentive will insure things quickly change for the better.
