If NASA had its Budget tripled, with at least 65% going towards SLS/Orion, we could have Humans on Mars by 2030 by using the Mars semi-direct, which would inspire a wave of scientists and engineers, and would create thousands of jobs across the country.
President Obama, please push NASA to have the goal of putting Humans on the surface of Mars by 2030. We can do it, we went from small satellites in LEO to footprints on the Moon in a little less than 11 years.
In 1969 we proved to the world America can put Humans on the surface of the Moon, now lets prove to the world we can put Humans on Mars as well. Lets take Humanity's greatest step yet.
