My opinion is not to particularly raise nor lower it. It has been on the tongues of Americans that the raise increase only increases cost of living for the workers and providing more taxes for the government. (increase in tax dollars with out "raising taxes")
I believe there should be two minimum wages. Young adults (those still in high school) I don't believe should be entitled to what we have as a minimum wage. Until you receive a high school diploma, your employer is allowed to pay you a lower set minimum wage. This offers a greater incentive to for students to graduate. If they choose not to get it nor a GED then their starting pay will be stay at the lower federal minimum, but upon graduation they are bumped up to the graduate minimum wage.
