As a true friend and ally confront Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the issue of the historical revisionism of WWII.

Created by B.T. on January 04, 2014

We call upon Ambassador Caroline Kennedy as a true friend and ally to enter dialog with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the issue of the offensive and counterproductive historical revisionism of WWII by some prominent Japanese individuals.

This includes the lobbying on the part of some Japanese for American communities to remove memorials to the “Comfort Women”. This is in our eyes akin to Americans asking Japan to remove memorials to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

There is plenty of room for historical debate over issues like Tokyo War Crimes Trials and the 1947 Japanese Constitution but for some historical events like the Rape of Nanking, Burma Death Railway, Unit 731, and the “Comfort Women” there should be no debate over the basic fact that these very large war time atrocities did occurred.
