Fracking is being touted as clean energy. Massive methane output from extraction of shale and natural gas energy, as well as water and aquifer contamination in the surrounding site areas decry this myth of "clean energy" with regard to natural gas extraction, both nationally and internationally.
We are asking the Obama administration to invest in wind energy, and solar energy as renewable, clean energy alternatives. These two alternatives have no green house gases associated with producing energy. These two alternatives have no water contamination issues associated with producing energy.
