We believe that Americans should be able to trust their public officials (whether elected or appointed) and their political candidates.
As such, there should be laws in place which make it criminal to spread lies during campaigns, including radio and TV adverts.
It should also be illegal for officials to knowingly deceive the American people (i.e. spread lies about the ACA, the NSA, etc).
This should also extend to all these power brokers in super PACs and elsewhere - if you have a public platform, it is your duty to spread truth and do your homework and research.
