The members of the House of Representitives have already done immeasureable damage to the U.S. economy by threatening to not raise the debt ceiling and force a government shutdown. Such ludacris, irresponsible actions are against any interest of the American people and is nothing short of domestic political terrorism.
Title 18 under the USC § 2383 reads:
"Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States."
The FORCEABLE shutdown the of United States government would most certainly constitute as rebellion.
