It is common understanding that the main driving force behind the recent government shutdown was from a radical group of the Republican Party. Recently, a small sect of the aforementioned political party have dictated the party's actions and goals. The most recent being the disruption of the Affordable Care Act, while discussion on the Act is certain the attachment to legislation that allowed our country to continue functioning is just absurd. By attaching it to such a legislation, the "Tea Party" was able to shut down the government. Their recklessness and complete disregard to the people they are sworn to represent cannot go unpunished. Have those that led the charge tried for their actions that has, not only hurt the American people, but cost us money we cannot afford to lose.
