Article I, Section 10 of the Constitution forbids any of the United States of America from entering into any alliance, or confederation. Article III, Section 3 allows Congress to declare the punishment for treason. Article IV, Section 4 guarantees the protection of the states from domestic violence. Based on the detrimental nature of the previous efforts of the southern states (many of which are included in recent petitions), we ask that the government try those who would advocate a second civil war as traitors based on their intentions to incite treason and possibly the overtrow of the federal government.
