tuiton assistance injustice

Created by N.H. on August 29, 2015

If the current administration cares so deeply about the importance of education and has the hope that college will be "free" someday, why do they currently tax those that have the amazing benefit of tuition assistance above $5250? Many employers cut off support at this point due to the taxable status there after so why doesn't this administration provide a status for these individuals to attend as much school as possible and remove that tax. People are struggling enough to pay for school, you, President Obama, have said it yourself that college is too expensive so why punish those that have found a way to make it manageable? This only slows down a students pace and hurts the educational process of millions.
