How can we honor someone who had the fortitude and courage to bear the burden of hate? Jackie Robinson reminded all of us that GOD created us equal. By becoming the first African-American to play in Major League Baseball, Mr. Robinson showed what it took to be a true American Hero. He accepted the position of "Game Changer". He did not just do this for the game of Baseball, but also for the American culture and eventually our history. He was a catalyst for the change that would eventually come into being. I believe that by his courage and his strong convictions we are able to have the shift in our mentality we have about one another today. At the time he played and beyond he embodied, " That all men are created equal", -The Declaration of Independence. Let's show Mr. Robinson our thanks!
