Turn Christmas in an octave holiday.

Created by N.O. on October 04, 2015

Christmas ought to last from Dec 25 to Jan 1 so poor families can better manage their seasonal spendings by not having to rush to find gifts on Christmas Eve, so children can live the Spirit of Christmas not just one day but eight and thereby better remember the joys of Christmas so they can share them with others, and so students and workers on winter vacation can enjoy a Christmas-themed winter vacation. In addition, eight days of Christmas can help communities grow in peace and love, joy and mercy, since Christmas will not just be a flash in the pan for one day, but a fire that lasts eight days. Lastly, eight days of Christmas is the Christan octave - sadly, forgotten by Christians with a lax devotion, which they mistake for secularization, yet which eight Christmas days can cure.
