Liberty University is one of the fastest growing colleges in this great nation today, but the fact that they are a non-profit private college is unnecessary. Last year alone Liberty made over $1 billion from students paying tuition to either attend classes or take online classes. Because they are a non-profit organization, they have to put all of that money back into the school, which, with this kind of cash flow, will make Liberty a dominating influence over the city of Lynchburg some day. I believe that a school based on Christian values should be able to take that money and put it elsewhere, such as charities, the City of Lynchburg, etc. As a Lynchburg citizen, and I think I speak for most of them when I say this, but we do not want our city to be overrun by another Falwell yet again.
