Turn the White House gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness

Created by S.B. on March 23, 2016

We would like to see the White House turn the lights to gold in September in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Childhood cancer is the number one cause of death among children, yet it receives only a tiny fraction of the National Cancer Institute's research budget (4%), and most pediatric cancer treatments have not changed since the 1970s. Cancer affects approximately 1 in every 285 children, which means that everyone knows someone who has been touched by this disease. Please show your support by lighting up the night in honor of the brave little warriors who have lost their battle, their comrades who soldier on, and the families who do everything they can to help, but are frequently reduced to standing helplessly on the sidelines
