Ty Woods deserves a Medal of Honor, or similar civilian award, for his heroic actions in Libya.

Created by J.C. on November 02, 2012

Ty Woods, the Navy SEAL, deserves the Medal of Honor (or similar civilian award dependent on his duty status at the time) for heroic actions in Libya. Ty Woods was murdered while trying to save Ambassador Stevens. He ignored orders to Stand Down in order to provide assistance to his fellow Americans. He lived and died by the creed that we will never leave a fallen comrade.
The Delta Operators, Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart, were both awarded Medals of Honor for their heroic actions in the Battle of Mogadishu (better known as Black Hawk Down). The situations are very similar.
Ty Woods sacrificed his life in order to defend fellow Americans just as the Delta Operators Gordon and Shughart did. Ty Woods represents the best of America. His noble sacrifice deserves recognition.
