Tyler Doohan, 8, saves 6 in blaze before dying while trying to save another. A true Hero, worthy of the Medal of Freedom

Tyler Doohan, an 8 year old child, awoke from his sleep at 4:45 a.m. on Monday to discover a fire burning his grandfathers home. He woke his sleeping family members helping six of them to safety, including 4 yo and 6 yo children. He went back in to the inferno to save his disabled uncle and died. Tyler's body was found by investigators near the bed of his deceased uncle. Tyler's heroism is extraordinary. Tyler's story has already touched thousands of people from around the world. Tyler is the type of hero other heroes honor and respect. His selfless actions and personal sacrifice would be extraordinary for any civilian public safety officer, rescuer and indeed is on par with the actions of some of our military's greatest heroes. Tyler Doohan deserves to be honored with the Medal of Freedom
