Many school budgets in today's economy are very tight and it is hitting technology in schools very hard. This petition is to mandate schools to implement Ubuntu Linux on computers maintained by the school. Technology budgets in schools would be relieved due to the fact that it is free to install, and upgrades are also free. Also, on the plus side it would allow the schools to keep computers for longer since it does not require as much as traditional windows, also students would benefit from learning a different platform than what is used everyday!
