On 18/02/2016 the people of Uganda went to polls to elect a new president during an election that was marred with intimidation, very late arrival of voting materials, intense military presence, suspension of any form of social media, vote rigging etc. Even under these extreme conditions, the opposition candidate Kiiza Besigye is known to have won the election but the Electro commission blatantly announced Mr. Yoweri Museveni as the win. Kiiza Besigye and other opposition candidates are under house arrest, the streets of Kampala are filled with army presence any peaceful demonstrations are dispersed using tear-gas, a young boy in the western part of the country lost his life yesterday when police opened gun fire at demonstrators and many people were injured. Extreme abuse of Human rights
