On 10/12/2016 UNESCO adopted a one sided resolution on the Old City of Jerusalem that ignores the historical connection between the Jewish people & their ancient capital.
The resolution, adopted by the World Heritage Committee in Bonn, alleges, that Israel is engaging in “illegal excavations” in the Old City; Damaging the structures on the Temple Mount; impeding restoration on the Temple Mount; & damaging the “visual integrity” of the Old City with Jerusalem light rail. It also deplored various Israeli projects in & around the Old City & the Western Wall Plaza, which it referred to as the “Buraq Plaza.” their actions deny Historic Christian connection to the area as well; Holy Sepuchlre church.
We ask Congress to continue to defund UNESCO until their hateful obsession with Israel stops.
