We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Unfair Holiday Pay Poilcy

Created by S.B. on September 24, 2016

Historically at present the Federal policy in regard to non traditional scheduled employees who don't work a traditional Monday thru Friday work week, is unfair. The vast majority of these employees are classified as essential/ emergency essential personnel. These employees work shifts beyond the basic business hours, thus working weekends in their essential jobs. At present if a Government Holiday falls on a weekend, such as Christmas 2016 (Sunday), holiday pay is paid on the following Monday December 26th. These non-traditional employees will not be paid Holiday pay for working Christmas Day. Those with a traditional schedule who will be off Christmas day, will be paid Holiday pay on Monday December 26th, without working the actual Holiday itself. Thus providing an unfair policy.
