My ex husband who was just released from prison for rape was he awarded $419. plus $50 in arrears, and my child support was cancelled and I am now responsible for 77% of all medical bills as opposed to 50%. To date APL has no “entitlement defense” but I truly believe there has to be some clauses put in place especially for anyone who is engages in criminal activities. This law cannot be as black and white. What kind of country do we live in with a government that would allow someone to go out a commit such a vile crime such as rape, spend 3 ½ years in prison only to come out start a new life, stop his obligation for child support and win alimony from the one person that has done right all these years? What kind of message are we sending to the people of the United States and the victims?
