We beleive the Obama Administration should eliminate residential property taxes, end income tax credits on interest paid on mortgages and fund public education uniformly via a national sales tax. The defense, security and prosperity of this countgry depends on the quality of education of its citizens and early education is critical.
In addition to a flat national tax on all sales transactions for education a percentage of the defense budget to be allocated every year to insure that public schools are uniformly and fully funded. Every public school must be brought to the same standard in terms of facilities and expenditures per student. The present system of funding public education with residential property taxes perpetuates the devide between the rich and the poor and must be ended..
