Petition to make child support laws federal. This would enable individuals to modify their support orders even if parties are not in the state where order was issued.
I had custody of our son ex had custody of our two daughters. There was a child support order out of N.Y., she moved to North Carolina myself to Florida. N.Y. would no longer hear the case because neither party lived in N.Y. Florida would not hear the case because custodial parent did not live in Florida. And North Carolina would only take the case if she asked to have it moved from N.Y. to North Carolina. after all children had left her home I continued to pay child support for three years while she had none of my children living in her home
