Women are poorer than men in all racial and ethnic groups, the numbers of women and children falling into poverty are growing. What will it take for America to put women and children first? Households with one wage-earner typically those headed by single mothers have found it extremely difficult to support a family. The families with children headed by single mothers rose from 12.8% in 1970 to 26.2% in 2010. In 2010, 46.9% of children under 18 living in households headed by a single mother were poor. Seven million women and children are among the 20.5 million in deep poverty. One in four children in a household headed by a single mother is in deep poverty. The people must have unified mindset and culture shift to give female and children a greater future in America then the World!
