I would like a petition against the Head start programs due to their inability to offer quality to treatment to teachers and Teacher assistance. Early childhood educators should have a union to protect them and be treated the same as Teachers who teach children in public schools. We the early childhood educators are doing a disservice to families and children when we are under stress, and pressure. When issues arrive that are out of our hands our jobs should be protected just like teachers. We are looked over many times but we are the foundation of young children receiving an early education before they enter into Pr-K and Kindergarten. Early childhood workers are hard workers as well.
