We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

Unite America by officially condemning the violent, divisive demonstrations that have occurred since the election.

Created by N.P. on November 12, 2016

The violent civil unrest that has occurred since the election is both detrimental to the bringing together of our country and seems contrary to facilitating a peaceful transfer of power in our democracy. Please back up your statement that "My number one priority in the coming two months is to just facilitate a transition that ensures our president-elect his success" by formally speaking out against these divisive and often destructive demonstrations. Peaceful freedom of speech is one thing, but terrorist-like acts of intimidation and violence should be condemned.
