From the opening portion of the article referenced in the petition title.
Terrorism cannot reign when a nation unites to pray for the loss of loved ones and the recovery of those injured by the explosions of carefully planted bombs at the Boston Marathon. As a people granted by our own Constitution the privilege of religious freedom, we should bow before almighty God and plead for healing.
Ephesians 6:18 says: “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
Let us take time at 2:50 p.m. every afternoon this week to petition our God in silence and humility.
