The descendants of African Americans built this country against their will and without compensation. For that, this country could properly be deemed The United States of Africa. The debt for slavery is still unpaid. Whereas Native Americans received their reparations by way of casinos and sovereign land, African Americans were robbed of their culture and left destitute. It is time for Congress to act. African Americans demand what is conspicuously just. We demand the prompt and secure payment of reparations for centuries of African slavery in America. Specifically, we demand property, sovereign land, and financial compensation.
