In the United States the direct popular vote does not elect the president, this is definitely unfair and wrong. That function rests with an electoral college of 538 voters from all 50 states and the District of Columbia (the capital) who deposit votes for the candidate who has won in their state. Whoever accumulates 270 or more electoral votes, wins the presidency. We want to turn the page to this new era, where the media and the new technologies remain. We are in another century. Each personal vote has to count in our presidential elections.
