We ask that the United States government officially recognize the Armenian Genocide. 43 of the 50 states acknowledge the massacre of 1.5 million Armenians from 1915 to 1917 as a genocide and yet we as a nation have not recognized it as such. Why is it that to ratify an amendment it takes 38 states and yet 43 agree nothing happens. President Obama as a senator said this,"the Armenian Genocide is not an allegation, a personal opinion, or a point of view, but rather a widely documented fact supported by an overwhelming body of historical evidence. The facts are undeniable... As a senator, I strongly support passage of the Armenian Genocide Resolution and as President I will recognize the Armenian Genocide", and yet for almost 7 years he has done nothing to support to support his claims.
